I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
